I was so excited to move out of the 20-numbered weeks, especially since at week 24 my due date was bumped back two weeks, landing me back at 22 weeks again. Our little guy is doing great! I have been feeling much more pregnant over the last few weeks and have seen and felt some very strange movements from baby! My NICU brain is also calmed with each passing day.
The hip pain has greatly subsided, praise the Lord! I never knew how much I valued walking until it became next to impossible.
My task for this week is to figure out all the baby equipment (car seat, stroller, etc.) before my sleep-deprived, newborn-caretaking brain is unable to complete such seemingly complicated tasks.
Here’s what baby and I look like this week. No barefoot/pregnant/in-the-kitchen jokes, please. I had on shoes. :-)
Other than baby stuff, our house is full of life this week. A betta named Thor has joined the family, and the caterpillars we’ve been watching for a few weeks emerged as butterflies yesterday! Can you tell I’m trying to finish up our life science curriculum before baby?
Later this week, we’re looking forward to the opening of a local ice cream shop for Valentine’s day (yum!) and our first date night without kids since moving out of our Fort Worth house.
