So I keep waiting to blog until I think of a funny, coherent topic, but let's face it—it's not going to happen. So for tonight, enjoy a random collection of thoughts from around the King house.
Papa Tom (Katie's Dad) finally has a boy to appreciate his love for golf and fishing after 24 years of trying to convince his girls! Boy is quite enthralled by the backyard that is bigger than a parking space and a garage full of abandoned treasures. We've spent a lot of time in Waco having fun with grandparents and cousins!
Some of us are adjusting to being a family of 5 better than others. This is Luke seeking refuge in the calmest place in the minivan after two hours of having toys chunked at him. Yes, he's on PJ's lap. Yes, PJ was driving at the time. Poor Luke.
It's been a big week for Baby! She's learned high-fives, clapping "yay!", pooping on the potty before bathtime, and the biggest news of all...she's walking! The little chunker just stood up and started walking across the room two days ago! Many more things are now within reach. And she's teething. Booooo. Yay for tylenol and ice packs! It's amazing to see how much she grows and changes every day. :-)
My most common daily phrase is "what is in your mouth THIS time?!?" Please spit out the paper/dog food/small toy/lip gloss/food from three days ago. Ok thanks.
Right now... a storm is starting to hit, and I've got two kids trying to delay bedtime. Please oh please let those sedatives I'm forced to give them kick in soon. Just kidding! Kind of. Anyway. Oh fabulous now there's hail...because $2700 in hail damage already this spring wasn't enough!
Good night to all! Remember to thank the Lord for your blessings. I'm headed to tuck two of mine in!
