I am on the lookout for two kinds of resources: kid-appropriate computer games/websites and homeschool resources.
First, the computer stuff: I’m looking for games or websites that are fun, totally kid-friendly, can be done independently (by an eight and/or five year old), and educational is a plus
Second, the homeschooling: I’m just getting started with homeschool by going over first-grade curriculum with Boy this summer. (He has completed second grade but went to not-great schools for kinder and first, when he went at all.) I’m planning to homeschool him for at least a year this coming year and will be doing a co-op once a week. I’ve read a few great books and blogs, but I’m definitely interested in learning more about how to homeschool well. I’d love any and all advice, particularly in the areas of teaching an active, distractible boy, and teaching with a toddler running around trying to eat all non-food objects.
So, please leave me comments with all your best resources and advice! Thanks!
