This is how we trekked through the city: stroller and leashes! We only had two kid leashes; we found out with some harrowing experiences that all three walkers really need to be leashed. So I have three for our upcoming plane trip!
We went by the White House.
Then we kicked the kids out of the picture, as it took ten tries to get all three looking not like deranged squirrels.
We went by the Capitol after visiting Capitol Hill Baptist on our way out of town.
And…we went to Georgetown Cupcake! I watched DC Cupcakes during the long weeks of nausea last fall. It was fun to actually go there! And yum! PJ was delighted to find gluten-free peanut butter fudge cupcakes.
We had quite a trip! I was glad to give the kids the experience of seeing DC, but I’m already hoping to take a trip back with just PJ this fall. If only I could convince him that taking the longest, most convoluted metro route is a good use of vacation time…
