I’ve been battling grumpiness about preparing for our second cross-country move this year, although this one is temporary. But! The Lord has been blessing me in so many sweet ways—I just had to share them!
- PJ needs a new bike. I posted an “in search of” ad on facebook and had a response within minutes, for half of what I was hoping to spend.
- Brooklyn needed shorts. I was planning to go buy some this afternoon when I saw four pairs in her size posted on a facebook buy/sell page. I went to pick them up tonight. Problem solved, money saved!
- Last week I had become a tiny bit obsessed with wanting to have a stroller for Seth in Texas…even though I rarely use ours. My mother-in-law texted me out of the blue to tell me that the carseat they have for Seth has a stroller that I can use.
- I woke up really really wanting donuts a few days ago. After dropping PJ off at school, I contemplated a run to Krispy Kreme but decided it wasn’t a great plan to buy myself donuts with three sweets-loving, gluten-free eating kids in the car. When the kids and I picked PJ up for lunch, he gave me a sly smile and sneakily showed me two donuts that were leftover from his morning class. I happily ate them (secretly) at the park!
You see, God would still be perfectly good and loving if none of these things had happened and I went without donuts and a stroller. But how fun!
