We’re back in North Carolina! I’m really enjoying being back—even though we’ve only lived here a few difficult months, I love this place.
We had an amazingly smooth plane trip, praise the Lord! So thankful that PJ was able to fly with us this time. As we boarded our first plane, I felt pretty overwhelmed being in charge of two kids and four carry-ons. And PJ had two kids and three bags! I’m not quite sure how I made it by myself on the way to Texas—abundant grace, friends.
The kids did really well on both flights. I realized a few minutes into our second flight that both Seth and Emma had fallen asleep(!!) and stayed that way through a turbulent ride and landing. And I got to watch an in-flight episode of “The Office”, so it was a pretty spectacular flight.
We only had a 50 minute layover in Atlanta, which meant we ran from gate to gate. Emma clearly wasn’t going to keep up, so my husband pulled this awesome stunt:
That’s right: He’s carrying 50 pounds of baby while running through the airport. He’s quite a catch, y’all.
And, you know, Brooklyn was quite pleased that her leash matched her new shoes. Always wise to coordinate your accessories.
