Whew! Week four is gone already! As I updated our attendance chart this week, I couldn’t believe I was checking off day five of the week already.
Monday was our catch-up day from the craziness of last week. The kids did independent activities, and I prepped our week.
We had pretty normal days on Tuesday and Wednesday, although not quite at a full load. Next week, I hope! We enjoyed a trip to the library and met some friends at a playground afterwards. The weather was beautiful—in the shade, it was almost cool!
On Thursday, we took our first field trip of the year! We joined three other families at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. It is one of several free museums in downtown Raleigh! We spent a fun morning exploring the museum.
Today was another independent/prep day to prepare for next week. Right now, our calendar is clear and I’m going to attempt five days at a full load, adding music and art for the first time and picking back up with science.
I’m headed to an ice cream party with a new friend, which is an excellent way to end a day that contained someone using an arm chair as a bathroom, pencil drawing on the wall, and snacking out of the trash. Yum. My sister sent this picture after receiving a day of crazy texts from me. Love her. And The Office. And ice cream.
