A full week of school! Let’s focus on that instead of my to-do list that is threatening to eat me.
Emma actually got some school time this week. We’re working though her geography lessons, reading, and math. Her reading has really taken off this week, and she continues to love math! Here’s a picture of her pattern block lesson.
I really enjoyed our history studies this week and learned a lot! We wrapped up our study of the World War I era, reading biographies of Woodrow Wilson, Amelia Earhart, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. We also learned about the events in Russia around this time. The kids made “Fabergé eggs” as a project—I was fascinated to learn about the history of these beautiful objects.
Today, we took our annual visit to a pumpkin patch! This is my favorite fall activity. We had a great time picking out pumpkins, going on a hay ride, riding the giant slide, petting animals, jumping on the giant pillow, and playing in a corn pit.
