Hello again! I skipped last week’s post because it was a busy but not particularly note-worthy week. So here we are at the end of week 16!
We all got our flu shots on Monday morning. I am really glad that’s over! Thankfully, PJ was able to come along for crowd control purposes. Three of the kids did well. One had to be wrestled into position. But we’re all looking forward to avoiding the flu!
On Tuesday, I hastily put together a lesson on Veterans’ Day after one child declared a “veteran” to be “someone who takes care of animals.” I attempted to straighten that out, but there’s no guarantee.
In physical education news, we’ve finished the Couch to 5K program! Vernon, Brooklyn, and I are now able to jog for 30 minutes at a time, having started from zero minutes. We signed up for a family 5K on Thanksgiving morning! I’m hoping to show the kids that other people in the world choose to run, not just Crazy Mom.
Today we had another Presentation Day with some other homeschool families. Vernon presented a poster on World War I and Brooklyn gave a report on Little Women. They did a great job!
