What a week! PJ started a new job(!) as a remote software developer and needed to spend a few days training in NYC. No, problem, right? Well…
On Monday morning, Seth woke up needing to go to the doctor. We took PJ to the airport and went straight to the pediatrician, arriving when they opened. Well, long story short, we were sent to the children’s ER to be evaluated for a urinary blockage. Nothing says “hello, Monday!” like a trip to the emergency room while your husband is out of town. After a few hours of being evaluated, we were able to go home. Seth is doing fine now; we just need to follow up with a urologist. That kid and his love of urgent medical care. Really wish he’d waited until our awesome new medical insurance had kicked in.
We have been very well cared for this week by sweet friends. In fact, I only had to cook dinner once while PJ was gone!
Oh, right. School! Yes, we’ve done it. We studied the effects of friction and mass with marbles. We learned about the mid-century conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. We started studying Matisse in art.
And we took a field trip to Marbles!
