I like sugar more than I thought I did. After a summer of wonderful vacations, I’d fallen pretty far off the healthy eating wagon. Upon returning from NYC at the beginning of August, I declared the start of a “no added sugar” month. Y’all, I made it four days. Blame my husband, who sweetly took me out for frozen yogurt. After that lapse, there was obviously no sense in continuing to avoid sugar, because sweet things taste good. I’m drinking a Coke as I write this.
Ticket To Ride is a really fun game. This game had been recommended to us by several people, and we found it on clearance in March. It sat on our shelf until last week, when we played it with my sister and her boyfriend. Luckily, Ben had played before and could spare us the long process of reading the rules. We had a great time, and I know we’ll enjoy it in the future.
Emily Freeman and Myquillyn Smith are even more awesome in person, and they throw an amazing party. Emily’s new book Simply Tuesday released recently (a wonderful read!), and I won an invitation to the book release party! Meeting Emily and Myquillyn was a joy. The white barn(!) was beautifully decorated, and I got to share the party with my friend, Jaimie, while meeting fabulous people I normally only blog-stalk.
