This is a post for 31 Days about making it as a mom. Check out the intro post if this is your first time here!
Are y'all podcast listeners? I starting listening to podcasts regularly several years ago. I've found them to be a great way to fill the times when my hands are busy but my brain is not: folding laundry, doing dishes, hair/makeup time, driving, cleaning.
Podcasts are also a great way to get adult voices in your ears if your house is filled with chatter about the Wiggles...or maybe that's just me! (Wiggles are the worst.)
Here are my favorites:
Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey: Jamie always has interesting and encouraging guests who talk about a wide range of topics.
What Should I Read Next?: Warning-this podcast is dangerous to your reading list! Anne Bogel interviews a guest about favorite books, least favorite books, and current books and makes recommendations for future reading.
Mom Struggling Well: Emily Thomas interviews a mom each week who always has great things to share!
Lighten Up with Melanie Dale: I love Melanie's quirky humor and the questions she asks her guests!
Serial: Um, addicting. Season 3 is upcoming.
Winning Slowly: A podcast hosted by two of my guy friends. They always discuss topics that are way off my radar as a mom but always make me think!
Pantsuit Politics: So needed in this (crazy, absurd) political climate! A republican and a democrat host this show together, making sure to keep the conversation kind and intelligent. A rare thing, indeed!
The West Wing Weekly: This is a new one for me, based on the recommendation of a friend and fellow West Wing enthusiast. Bartlet for president, anyone?
