October was a busy month! I traveled ten days out of the month, which is quite unusual for this stay-at-home mom. Here's what I read this month:
Rising Strong, by Brené Brown: I picked this up at my sister's house when I found myself with some down time. After reading the back few pages that addressed trauma experiences, I knew I wanted to read the rest of what she had to say. Lots of good stuff in here, particularly that apply to our kids with tough backgrounds.
The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak: I really can't decide if I liked this book or not! It was intriguing at least. It is another WWII novel (I've read several this year!) told from an interesting perspective of a girl living in a family who is quietly resisting the Nazis.
Gods at War, by Kyle Idleman: When I ran out of library books one week, I started at the back of my Kindle and landed on this book. It was a good book addressing idolatry; not the best I've read, but certainly a fine book.
The Singles Game, by Lauren Weisberger: I've read her books since The Devil Wears Prada came out years ago. This one was a fun, light read with interesting characters.
What are you enjoying reading this fall?
